What's the story?

I believe Dickens wrote Great Expectations as an extreme illustration of how we all come to a crossroads in our life where we question our character and who we really are or hat were meant to be. Pip is in a constant internal struggle  trying to determine his own character and who he will grow up to be. He is faced with he little devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other. Joe being the angel, guess who the devil may be. He faces temptations and struggles between what is right and wrong, though he has a strong conscience. I believe this was written because it can relate to virtually anyone and everyone; we all had to grow up and make decisions to shape ourselves to who we are today-- or who we are becoming today.
